Coming Soon to South Hedland…
Backed by research and built for the Pilbara, SHRA's South Hedland Village gets the green light.
Set to kick off late 2025, Grounded is transforming how worker accommodation is designed, built, and operated, bringing a fresh perspective to the mining and resource sectors.
The site will incorporate accommodation units, 15 three bedroom residential townhouses, community dining facilities, service pods, alfresco areas, and a range of recreational amenities, creating a well-integrated and functional living environment.
The landscape design vision is to establish a welcoming and cohesive environment for all residents, ensuring clear connectivity and legibility throughout the site while addressing the specific functional requirements of each zone. The design prioritises user comfort, accessibility, and the integration of high-quality green spaces.
The landscape concept responds to the site's diverse context, with residential streets to the east and south, educational facilities to the west, and service infrastructure to the north. Strategic vegetated interfaces and contextual planting strategies have been incorporated to enhance privacy, mitigate visual impacts, and create a seamless interface between the accommodation development and its surroundings.
Stay tuned for more updates.
